Act & Rules

The ICAR–National Research Centre for Makhana, Darbhanga, functions in accordance with the rules, regulations, policies and administrative guidelines issued by the Government of India, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and other competent authorities.

Important Acts & Rules

Right to Information Act, 2005

The Centre follows the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005, to promote transparency and accountability in its functioning. Citizens may seek information from the designated Central Public Information Officer in accordance with the prescribed procedure.

ICAR Rules and Regulations

The Centre follows the administrative, financial, service and research-related rules and guidelines issued by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research from time to time.

General Financial Rules

Financial activities, procurement, expenditure and utilisation of public funds are carried out in accordance with the General Financial Rules and other applicable Government of India guidelines.

Government Procurement Rules

Procurement of goods and services is undertaken through prescribed government procedures, including the Government e-Marketplace and other approved procurement systems, wherever applicable.

Central Civil Services Rules

Service matters relating to employees are governed by the applicable Central Civil Services Rules, ICAR service regulations and official orders issued by the competent authorities.

Information Technology and Cybersecurity Guidelines

The Centre follows applicable information technology, website security, data protection and cybersecurity guidelines issued by the Government of India and authorised agencies.

Intellectual Property Rights

Research publications, technologies, varieties, designs, photographs, documents and other intellectual assets developed by the Centre are governed by applicable intellectual property laws and ICAR guidelines.
